Rachael Kahn, a Sophomore at Fenton High School has been very busy this holiday break. She spent most of her time in the recording studio with Marshall Block from Real II Real Productions in Fenton. Grammy winner, Brent Baxter Barrett has been in town producing an album for Mickey Cash, Johnny Cash's cousin. Rachael was invited to sing the harmonies to this album. "I was so excited to be asked to do this and had a lot of fun working with everyone." Rachael, a songwriter and recording artist, was featured in the New Music Weekly Magazine out of LA this past fall. Her single "On Top of the World" topped the NMW charts for nine weeks, reaching #3 on the Mainstream Charts and #9 on the Indie Charts. Rachael is currently working on her seventh song for her album and is involved in writing of the original work. Brent Baxter Barrett has written two songs for Rachael's CD which will be released to ITunes soon. Rachael is currently working on a party/dance song called "All Night Long", featuring rapper "Skeet". According to Larry Weir, editor of New Music Weekly, Disney Radio is reviewing her work and shows an interest. He is quoted in his magazine as saying "Rachael Kahn as taken the radio world by storm. Her debut single "On Top of the World" has made huge leaps and bounds since it first came out. The single also spent three weeks at the top of the "most added" board, a sign that this young lady has a very bright future indeed. " At the present time, Rachael's song is being played at thirty-four stations around the country at over five-hundred times a week! Mike Betten, at KQCR radio in Hampton, IA mentioned in the magazine that "Rachael Kahn's On Top of the World is moving fast towards the top of our charts here."
